New Research from the WHO Collaborating Centre for Capacity Building and Training in Global Mental Health

Members of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Capacity Building and Training in Global Mental Health at Columbia University, in collaboration with our partners the Africa Mental Health Research and Training Foundation, published the first study of the psychometric properties of the Washington Early Recognition Center Affectivity and Psychosis (WERCAP), a screening tool used to screen early symptoms of psychosis at the community level, in Kenya.

The WERCAP screen showed good psychometric properties among adults in Kenya. It has the potential for use in mass screening for affectivity and psychosis in adult patients.
