Madeline Van Husen
- 2020 Management Intern

Madeline (Maddy) was a summer intern with the Global Mental Health Programs in 2019 and returned to serve as the Management Intern in 2020. As a part of GMHP, she has worked on multiple projects in humanitarian settings in Nepal and Lebanon.
Maddy graduated from Boston College in May 2020 with Bachelor’s degrees in Islamic Civilization and Societies and International Studies with a concentration in Global Health. Her college experience culminated in a senior thesis evaluating the inclusivity of programs for child refugees with disabilities in the context of Jordan. Currently, Maddy works as research assistant in the HaSET Maternal and Child Health Research Program at the The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health which works to reduce maternal and child mortality in Ethiopia. She hopes to use these research experiences to broaden her understanding of the vast dimensions of global health and plans to eventually return to school to pursue a degree in Epidemiology or Implementation Science.
