Linsey received her B.S. in Social Work from Utah Valley University. During her undergraduate years, she worked at New Haven Residential Treatment Center where she developed her passion for helping those who struggle with mental health. After living in southern Spain for a year and a half, Linsey’s focus on mental health broadened to the global scale. During her Master of Social Work program through Boise State University, Linsey interned at the Multicultural Clinical Center in Washington D.C. as a clinical therapist where she worked with children and youth from Central and South America facing family separation and deportation. Upon graduation, Linsey moved to Lesvos, Greece to work in the Moria Refugee Camp as a Program Director for HELP International. Linsey managed a team of volunteers who provided daily programming and case management to unaccompanied minors from Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq. Now located in New York City, Linsey continues to not only fight for refugee and immigration rights, but also for greater access to mental health treatment on a global level.
