  • Young Professionals Board Member

Jillian’s passion for helping others stemmed from an internship at Andrus Children’s Center, a residential center, where she worked with severely emotionally disturbed children on the autism spectrum. Upon graduation from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she received her BA in Psychology and French & Francophone studies, Jillian moved to France for two years to teach English to children in low-income neighborhoods. Jillian Kuhn is currently attending Columbia University School of Social Work (CUSSW) (expected graduation May, 2017) where she focuses on children and adolescent psychology and trauma research. During her first year at CUSSW she interned at the International Rescue Committee working with child refugees and their families. Currently, she interns at Mount Sinai’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Unit.  Jillian is also a research assistant working on creating a universal trauma and shame scale.
