Becka Dunayev
- 2022 Summer Intern

Becka Dunayev (she/her/hers) is a rising senior at Tufts University, majoring in Biopsychology with a minor in Child Development. She is interested in the intersection of mental health, neuroscience, and clinical work, and is considering pursuing a career in psychiatry. This summer, Becka worked in Dr. Reuben Robbins’ lab on evaluating NeuroScreen, a tabletbased app designed to test for neurocognitive impairment in children, adolescents, and adults living with HIV. She was involved in many aspects of the research process, including conducting literature reviews on the impact of neurocognitive impairment on psychosis, monitoring and organizing participant data, and transcribing cognitive interviews. Becka is currently working on a paper and poster investigating cross-cultural acceptability of NeuroScreen amongst people in New York, South Africa, and Uganda. This paper will evaluate if people from low-resource settings with low prior usage of technology feel comfortable using tablet-based assessments. Becka is grateful for all of the skills and opportunities that were provided to her through this internship. She has learned a lot about neurocognitive assessment, technological interventions for mental health, and conducting global research ethically.
