Amanda Somekh (Community Engagement Chair)

Amanda Somekh received a B.A. in Psychology from Kenyon College and is currently teaching at a therapeutic school for students with autism and other developmental delays. Previous to teaching, Amanda worked as a project coordinator at a public art non-profit organization called CITYarts, organizing public mural projects for schools that lacked arts funding. During this time, Amanda began volunteer work with the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music’s on-site music therapy program and continues to work with children and young adults in music therapy sessions every weekend.
