On the evening of Monday, February 24th, the Columbia-WHO Center for Global Mental Health held its annual Love is EleMental event, a celebration of the power of arts for mental health advocacy. This year’s event was held at Joe’s Pub at The Public Theatre and featured performances by Melissa Etheridge, Janine DiVita, Elaine Kwon, and Freestyle Love Supreme as well as Master of Ceremonies Peter Hermann.
It was a powerful event with the theme of The Hero’s Journey, capturing the hero in every person who struggles with or supports someone who struggles with mental health. We thank everyone who came out to support reducing stigma and changing the conversation around mental health!
