Trauma and HIV: Pursuing Viral Suppression by Addressing Mental Health

On December 5, 2019, GMHP Steering Committee Member Dr. Kathleen J. Sikkema will be presenting at the HIV Center for Clinical and Behavioral Studies Rounds.

These rounds will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the New York State Psychiatric Institute 1051 Riverside Drive, Room 6602.

Kathleen J. Sikkema, PhD is the Stephen Smith Professor and Chair of Sociomedical Sciences (SMS) at the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. She is a clinical psychologist, conducting community based intervention research focused on HIV prevention and mental health treatment in the US and in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). Her research on HIV and mental health has had wide-ranging impact, including the development of prevention programs to improve health behaviors and access to treatment in low resource populations in this country and abroad.
