Advancing Identification and Treatment for Individuals with Early Psychosis in Chile

On May 10th, 2021, we were honored to have doctoral candidate Franco Mascayano, Drs. Cristian Montenegro, Lisa Dixon, and Ezra Susser present at our final University Seminar of the semester.

As part of the research, the team in Chile assembled local stakeholders (care providers, individuals, and family members) to hear their experiences and to identify the barriers and facilitators to getting appropriate care.

Additionally, the team used a Dynamic Adaptation Process, which includes evaluation and implementation of an intervention, with continued refinement of the model during the process. As such, treatment elements and roles that are traditionally included in OnTrackNY were able to be modified in OnTrackChile to fit the local context.
