2021 Five Boro Bike Tour

On August 29th, 2021, a team of 14 individuals biked 42 miles together as part of the Five Boro Bike Tour, to increase awareness for mental health and raise funds to support research, training, and advocacy initiatives that will improve mental health globally.

The Global Fund for Mental Health supports the Five Boro Bike Team as a partner to the Columbia-WHO Center for Global Mental Health. With a shared commitment to reducing the stigma of mental illness and increasing access to mental health services for all, a dedicated team of riders rode (in person and virtually) with the support and contributions of over 140 donors, raising a total of $18,000. The funds will be used to support scholars and researchers, who are conducting research in low-resource settings around the world and leading the development and dissemination of evidence-based mental health services. Furthermore, the funds will help to sustain our training and mentorship programs for the next generation of mental health professionals.

We would like to thank the following individuals for their passion and commitment to improving mental health globally. To learn more about the team of riders, please view their individual profiles here.
